Photovoltaics assessment

The task was to prepare a static assessment of the existing load-bearing gable steel structure of the roof of the extension of the Karácsony Palace - the office of the President of the Slovak Republic - for new loads from photovoltaic panels. The presented static calculation was made in order to demonstrate that the existing load-bearing steel structure of the roof truss is able to carry the planned loads from the PV panels, including all other variable loads prescribed by the applicable EN STN standards.
